Designer- Brand collaboration, utilized companies branding package to create a compelling collaboration.

Designer/Project Manager- Created a pop up shop for the Super Bowl utilizing brand guidelines. Managed production, installation, and merchandising.

Project Manager - Concept to installation. sourced materials needed for project and coordinated production of custom items. Consistent partnership with client on final design choices.

Regional Visual Merchandiser-Lead the merchandising of new showroom opening. implemented regionalization of the merchandising team and developed local and traveling installers.

Regional Visual Merchandiser- Lead the merchandising of new showroom. Implemented additional displays to include Visual Comfort & Co. Custom Color program and collaborations with Schumacher and POOKY

Freelance Contractor- Directed the seasonal change over for market week set ups. Liaised between headquarters and local brand teams to assure consistent brand messaging was executed and necessary product identified by the client was represented.

Regional Visual Merchandiser- Lead the merchandising of new Flagship showroom, designed outdoor lighting displays to fit available space, adjusted fixtures for 20 foot tall ceilings, and expanded local installation team.

Visual Merchandiser- Stilling, mannequin placement, merchandising S&A, product layouts, fixture placement and customization.

About

Edgar Contreras

Spent his formative years toggling between El Paso, TX and Juarez, MX. Pursued an education in the performance arts and completed a Bachelors in Fine Arts. Training in Technical Theater helped develop time management and production skills. Once in NYC he was able to use all of this experience while working with productions studios (starting as a finisher and growing to project management), part of costume design team of EVITA on broadway, and as a Visual Merchandiser. Thanks to this background and experience he understands all aspects of the creative process including production, installation, styling, and lighting. Making him a great asset in most creative projects.
